Smallville star Kelly Brook and Torchwood's Alan Dale (pictured) have been cast in Renaissance, a new British horror drama with a difference.

ITV has commissioned the one-off film from Kudos and Red Planet Pictures to tie in with the new series of Moving Wallpaper. Renaissance will ostensibly be produced by Jonathan Pope, the manic producer from the hit series, played by Primeval's Ben Miller. Brook and Dale will appear as "themselves" during the new series of Moving Wallpaper, which will follow the creation and production of the TV movie.

Renaissance follows John Priest, played by Dale, who returns with his children from holiday to find themselves under siege from zombies. Brook plays Samantha, a fellow passenger, who escapes with them from the airport and helps to discover what is going on.
