Following the international success of The Dark Knight, which now has taken the second highest US domestic box office in history, Warner Brothers are considering giving a green light to a movie based around another Justice League member, The Green Arrow.
Rumours have circulated for some time about a script for the project, centered around a maximum security institution for superheroes, but this version by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green, is a more traditional take. However, according to IESB.net, if the film does get the go-ahead, "it may be too big for the director currently attached [Berlanti]."
George Miller has been working on the proposed Justice League of America movie, but IESB suggests that this may not move forward, in case Batman's appearance in it prevented Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale from working on a third Batman film. If that were the case, Miller may be moved onto the Green Arrow project.
