The time of myth and legend is being mined for two new movies, with Tarsem Singh signing up for War of Gods, and The Incredible Hulk’s Louis Leterrier set to helm the remake of Clash of the Titans.
Green screen techniques pioneered in 300 will benefit both movies, which are being fast tracked into production by their respective companies. Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures are producing Titans, from a new script by Lawrence Kasdan based on the classic movie, in which Perseus must battle numerous foes to save Princess Andromeda.
War of Gods sees Prince Theseus ally with the gods against an army of demons and titans.
Reports from the Saturn Awards ceremony also indicate that a prequel to Frank Miller’s 300 may be in preparation.
