Disney's Enchanted and ABC's Lost were the big winners at the Saturn Awards, presented on 24th June by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror.

Enchanted won Best Fantasy Film, Best Actress for Amy Adams, and Best Music by Alan Mencken. Cloverfield won Best Science Fiction Film, with Will Smith recognized as Best Actor for I Am Legend, and 300 receiving Best Action/Adventure/Thriller and Best Direction, by Zack Snyder. Transformers won the Special Effects Award.

Lost won Best Network Television Series, Best Actor for Matthew Fox, Best Supporting Actor for Michael Emerson and a tied award for Elizabeth Mitchell as Best Supporting Actress, alongside Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' Summer Glau.

Despite numerous nominations, Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix and The Golden Compass both failed to win.
