Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed that he is pushing for the Avengers movie to include many of the character conflicts that have characterised the comic book series.

Speaking to IGN, Feige noted that "what I'm actually more excited about is the scene interactions between them because you don't find two more different people than Tony Stark (Iron Man) and Steve Rogers (Captain America) as everybody knows who reads the comics."

Feige also indicated that the studio would avoid the trap of overpopulating the screen, citing X-Men 2 with "half a dozen villains and more than a half a dozen heroes... I don't want it to be a movie where every five minutes a character walks by and people smile at the cameo."

Currently Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt are favourites to play Captain America with Robert Downey Jnr. reprising his role as Iron Man
