Legendary TV producer Robert H. Justman has died aged 81 from complications arising from Parkinson's Disease.
Justman worked on every episode of the original series of Star Trek, rising from assistant director on the pilots to co-producer on the show's third season. He returned to work with Gene Roddenberry for the first year of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and is credited with pushing for the casting of Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard over numerous objections.
In a long career, Justman also worked on The Adventures of Superman, the original Mission: Impossible pilot and The Outer Limits.
His death comes shortly after veteran Star Trek director Joseph Pevney passed away aged 96. Pevney's credits included the two most popular episodes, The City on the Edge of Forever and The Trouble With Tribbles.
