Contrary to the producers' fears, NBC has confirmed that they will air all the episodes of Journeyman that were finished before the Writers Guild strike began.

In an interview with IF Magazine, creator Kevin Falls had noted that NBC had not given a transmission date for the final episode, which he told Premium Hollywood was written "in such a way it could be the series-ending show. I mean, it wouldn’t answer every question, but it would give you a lot to chew on.... in the case we would actually go on to a second season, we didn’t want to turn over every card."

However in a press release, NBC has stated that the final episode will air on December 19th. Despite an order for extra strikes before the Writers Guild strike, the network has not confirmed that it requires further episodes, with Falls telling Premium Hollywood that it is "a long shot... given the strike and our questionable numbers".
